L’ouvrage

My little FACKO invites young readers to discover the Kanak and Oceanian contemporary art collection of the Tjibaou Cultural Centre. Here, works of art speak, relate stories, true or invented. Sculptures, paintings, drawings are presented in a fun way and described poetically. From the Solomon Islands to Australia, from Papua-New Guinea to Vanuatu, from New-Zealand to Wallis and Futuna, and of course New-Caledonia, the journey is rich and the trip instructive. Ready to discover the heart of the contemporary creation in Oceania?

The graphic artist : Hans Vergara

Born in Cuba in 1975, Hans Vergara is a painter, graphic and web designer artist. Designer fabrics in bright colors, this son of the Caribbean, with Spanish-African-European and Chinese blood, never tires himself of exploring its rich syncretic cultural heritage. Curious by nature, he is also interested in cultures and traditions elsewhere to feed his artistic expression and its reflection on the universality of spiritual awareness. Besides painting and art installations, he produced works for the digital graphics or publishing world.
